Barrie Louise Reece

Ms
Reece started dancing at the age of two years. She trained at the
“Reece-Studio-Theatre” for many years under the guidance of her parents
Arley Reece (Heldentenor) and Helen Kate Reece (L.R.A.D./A.R.A.D.) and the
“Ballettschule Adele Schulte-Zurhausen” under the guidance of Adele
Schulte-Zurhausen ( A.R.A.D.). During this time she partook in the exams of
“The Royal Academy of Dance” (London, England) and passed the Children’s
Exams, Major Exams and the Higher Grades Exams. Further
dance training includes Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop Dance, Character Dance and Modern
Dance. At
the age of thirteen she took up vocal training with her father Arley Reece.
From
1994-1999 she performed in many shows at the “Reece-Studio-Theatre”
including Godspell (Sonja), Tabaluga und Lilli (Queen Bee) and many Gala-Shows. In
1999 she moved to Hamburg, Germany and studied at the Stella Academy/Stage
Holding Studios. In 2003, Ms Reece received her Diploma in Performing Arts. During
this time she often returned back to the “Reece-Studio-Theatre” and
performed in “The Wizard of Oz” (Gloria), “Brundibar” (Dog) and
participated in the opening of the “International Weeks of Light” in Essen,
Germany as a member of the “Musical Stars of Tomorrow”.
In
2004 she came as a volunteer to the Five Pfennig Playhouse and performed as
Bonnie in the theatre’s production of “Anything Goes”. She also was
involved in the choreography.
In
August 2004 she came back to work as a recreation aide for the theatre. Since
then she has directed the theatre’s production of “Snow White “,
choreographed for the production of “Little Shop of Horrors” and performed
as Crystal in the same show.
